April 9, 2009 6:56 am - Dog Park
At last we had a chance to go to the Dog Park. Has been a long time since we visited the park and the weather yesterday was great. Did my share of running and playing with many of my friends from last year. It was great seeing everyone again. And of course I had the opportunity to make a few new friends. Below is a picture of me on the run:

This picture is me taking a rest, don't last as long as I use to but still don't act like a 10 year old.

Here is one of my new friends keeping his eye on the ball.
Below are a few photos that dad took of some of the other dogs that were at the park.

April 4, 2009 6:33 am - Birthday
My birthday was 3 days ago and I did get some special treats from mom and dad. I'm now ten years old and starting to show some gray, but I still have a lot of get-up-and-go in me.
The weather remain cold and wet, beginning to think that spring will never get here. So much want to go to the Dog Park and see all my friends.
It has been a month now since we moved into our new home. Still getting use to it and all the new sounds and people in the neighborhood. Dad is talking of having a fence put in the back yard and that would be great. Then I could roam the whole yard to keep tabs on what is going on.
March 15, 2009 7:03 am - New Home
A whole month has passed since I put anything on my blog, and what a month it has been. There for a time I thought my life was going to be turned upside down again.
Mom and dad kept leaving me a home by myself while they went out and that was very unusual. Needless to say I was getting concerned. All the time they were looking a new home to move to.
Well they found one and it seemed to me that things went from bad to worse. Everyone one showed up and started packing everything. What was going on I kept thinking to myself and let me tell you I did my best to make sure that I was right beside mom or dad all the time. Didn't want them to forget about me with them being so busy.
The day came and we moved into our new home. Yes "our" new home, I was not left behind. Everything is so strange and new smelling and no upstairs to go to. Not as much room as the old place but it is just right for the three of us.
There is open stairs going to the basement and I'm not real sure about them. They had a hard time getting me to go down there the first time and I still don't go down to basement.
I have my very own place to look out the front windows. So many things to see and learn about our new neighborhood. I spend a great deal of time there looking all around.
I will miss the old house and all my friends. Zeus the guy next door was a pal of mine and we spent many an hour running up and down the fence line. Him being on his side of the fence and me on my side. Of course I will miss getting after the dog from down the street that was always getting loose. Dad calls her "ugly Betty" and I must admit she is not much of a dog to look at. She was very afraid of me and that even made it more fun.
The weather is getting warmer so that means it will be Dog Park time again. Can't wait to see all my old friends out there.
Have had some problems with my right leg, was limping from time to time. But it seems to be on the mend. I guess the years are catching up to me, after all I will turn 10 on April first.

The picture above is me on the scale at the vets when I went to have my leg looked at.
January 13, 2009 6:52 pm - Two Years Ago
Two years ago today I was adopted from Pet Refuge. My life has been great with my new family. They play with me when I want to play, they take me to the vet when I need attention, and most of all they love me. Below are two pictures from two years ago during my first hours at my new home.

I remember the first time in the house, it was huge. So many room to explore and things to smell and my new family lets me roam the whole house.

The above movie clip is me attempting to convince dad that I'm the ALFA Dog. Dad got already to shot me running around the yard. Did I fool him, I did show him how to lay in tjhe snow.
January 11, 2009 4:53 pm - Cold & Snow
Not much new to add here. It has turned cold with snow. Sure makes going outside to do my business hard on this old gal. Believe me I don't spend much time out there.

Dad did get this picture of me out in the snow as you can see above.

In this movie I wish I could do my business this fast.
January 8, 2009 7:51 am - Vet Visit
In a few days it will have been two years since my new great family adopted me from Pet Refuge and I could not be happier. They have been so good to me and really take care of me and get me to the vet when I'm not feeling up to par.
Went to the vet yesterday for my yearly shots and check up. Below is a picture of me waiting for the doc to come in.

The above picture is me getting my weight checked. Great, still 46 lbs, didn't put any weight on over the Christmas holidays. I was 42 lbs when I was adopted so for a gal of my age I'm not doing to bad.

This picture is me getting blood taken for one of the tests and as you can see I was not a happy dog.
After the vet visit we went to do some shopping but first stopped at the bank.

Here is a picture of me waiting for my treat that I get when we use the drive up window. The gals there treat me very good and I always love going to the bank with mom and dad.
December 29, 2008 5:08 pm - Christmas
Everything is back to normal at home. We have had relatives visiting the past few day for Christmas. And the two youngest really kept me gone while they were here. Dad & mom were very proud of me when I didn't get upset with the young ones when they were pulling my tail. All and all I was a very good dog. I love the company and all the attention I get but it is nice to get back to normal.

I got a nice raw hide bone for Christmas, above is a picture of me with it.

This is a picture of me after someone put a bow on my head what a dog has to put up with.

You can tell by this picture I'm a bit stressed from everything.
Today I went to Smiles-n-Styles for my monthly bath and nail treatment. Below is a picture after I got back home, looking all pretty. Always nice seeing Amanda, she treats me so nice.

The above is a movie clip of me speaking, well sort of!
December 11, 2008 2:44 pm - Better
Still on some medications for the "hot spot" on my stomach but they don't seem to affect me as bad as they did the first time. Maybe I'm becoming a dope addict dog…….. Healing nicely, dad has been impress the way the hair is growing back on the sport and I'm not licking at it any longer. At least I didn't have to ware that collar again.
Mom was mailing out the Christmas cards the other day and she tried to put postage on my head to send me somewhere. No kidding below is a picture to prove it.

Have been doing a lot of running with the folks. Have been to the bank and that means I great a nice treat form the gal in the drive up window. Below is a picture of me on "my" seat in the van when we are out on the go.

Also have been going for some long walks with mom in the neigherhood. Always great to get out and see whats going on and seeing some of the folks that live around here. Of course I have to stop and sniff everything.
December 4, 2008 4:20 pm - Back To The Vets
Had to go back to the vets yesterday. Seems that I'm healing like I should and now they think I just might have an allergy of some sort. Back on the medications that makes me hungry all the time, drink water lake a camel and of course that means I have to go out in the cold more to go to the bathroom. I know that I'm getting up in years but I don't need to fall apart. One great thing is that mom and dad really do care about me and don't think twice about taking me to get treated. I am so loved and lucky to have both of them in my life .
Below are a couple of pictures dad took while we were at the vets.

This is Dr. Broxon in the white coat and Brook lending a hand with me.
As you can see in the above picture I'm not paying no mind to Doc, Brook has the treats and that always gets my attention.

This is a picture of two of the gals that greet you when you come in and all sorts of things to make everything run smoothly. Everyone is so great and of course they make over me when I go in there.
The weather has turned really cold, I guess no more nice days until spring, rufffff!
November 27, 2008 6:56 am - Thanksgiving
Today is Thanksgiving and I have a great deal to be thankful for. It is going on two years since my new family adopted me from Pet Refuge. And I have been blessed to have mom and dad in my life. They play with me when I want to play, they take me almost everywhere they go, let me have the run of the house, take me to the vet when I hurt myself or get sick, take me to the Dog Park to run and play with all my friends and most of all they love me.
House has smelled great the last two days with mom cooking and baking for Thanksgiving. Looking forward to having the family over today, always great seeing them.
The last two days I have been running around with dad when he went out. Now what makes that so special is that when he stopped and got lunch to take back home, he got me my very own hamburger. I don't think I have ever had a hamburger two days in a row. Dad still won't let me eat the buns, says I have to watch me girlie figure.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and I hope all are as thankful and grateful as me.
